Thanks for great presentations from Abby and Emma! Great time of year to review helmet fit and safety.

March 11/12 NCPR Standards and Certification Clinic and Spring Fling

Super experience for all St James Attendees – learned a lot about the Pony Club education process!

March 18th: HM Only Certification at RR PLUS Riding Clinic with Melanie Kording

Super HM Certification – with Mackenzie and Virginia doing a great job acting as examiners and scribes at the D level: and Melanie Kording testing the C level.

Everyone rocked: some outstanding passes; some requests to repeat a section here and there – overall great results and everyone moving forward in knowledge!

The HM Cert was followed by a great clinic on rider position with Melanie Kording. Melanie is an A Graduate Pony Clubber , and a National Examiner. Both our Cs and Ds who participated benefitted tremendoulsy!

General News

Please send news and results for this section to me during show season! Especially the Hunter Jumpers out there: we would LOVE to get a contingent to come and watch you represent at HJ Shows!

PLEASE commit to getting some sponsorships!! Approach your vet, feed store, farrier etc etc – these funds REALLY help finance group activities throughout the year and keep your membership fees down . Remember there is a competition this year – so get going and get those sponsorships to Dede ASP!!

Dates are out for National Pony Club Championships and FESTIVAL at the Kentucky Horse Park in 2017.

This is a don’t miss opportunity to participate in competitions, lessons, clinics, HM tuition, etc. etc. all in one place. This only occurs once every three years – and it’s a GREAT experience!! Pencil it in – even if you don’t intend to ride, it’s a GREAT chance to participate in unmounted instruction from some of the top clinicians in the country. We hope to have a HUGE group down in Kentucky for a great time.

Block your calendars for the Regional Qualifiers June 14 – 18th at FVSA and for JULY 17TH – 24th for Champs / Festival

Entries are now OPEN for rallies! http://ncprponyclub.weebly.com/rally-entries.html

If you plan to compete at Champs, you need to be approved by your DC – AND complete a Championship Intent by April 15th!!

** Please READ THE RULEBOOKS for the discipline you hope to compete in …there are some big changes in 2017**

Success in Pony Club is not about being better than somebody else...it’s about improving yourself and encouraging others!
