April Review

April 1st: RR Schooling Show

Definitely NOT April Fool’s Day !! Lovely schooling show with lots of smiles and MUCH improvement! Pretty sure Sunny thinks she won all these ribbons – but other horses were involved …shown here Hawks Girl, Zipper, Jasper and Ava want some recognition too!

Mary K has a rolling total of points earned to date at the schooling shows …. this will be posted at the next show: looking forward to year end prizes!

April 2nd: General Meeting

Thanks to Olivia, Ellie , Avery , Alissa , Vanessa  and our Cs for the study group session !

April 8th: St James Winter Trip to Cavalia

Sounds as if this was a spectacular show! Everyone raved about how well trained the horses were – and how skilled the riders and acrobats!

April 22nd: Mounted Instruction at Richardson Farms

Fantastic day of Instruction by Sarah Coltrin USPC B Graduate. The weather cooperated and riders had a blast. Seen here: Mellissa on her next Rolex mount, Sunny , Suzanne cantering without stirrups on Picasso ( who BTW is available for a half lease – SUPERB opportunity for a northern St Jameser ) and Emma and Jasper looking for the next fence. Thanks as always to Sarah C and Art and Judy Richardson for the use of their lovely facility!

April 23rd: Work Day at RR

Mary and Mellissa want to thanks All the St Jamesers who turned out to clear branches, paint fences and mow grass to make RR a more Pony Club friendly place for the summer : Nice Job to all!

April 27-30, 2017 – St James does: ROLEX 2017!!!!!

Hugely successful trip to Kentucky for many St Jamesers – both in our “group house” and under their own steam! A few of the group seen here in the gorgeous Kentucky sunshine posing with the famous statue of Bruce Davidson. Fantastically exciting competition made trickier by wet going on the cross country – and a tight time to beat on show jump. Michael Jung emerged victorious for the first consecutive “three-peat” in history. Exiting to think that Pony Clubbers can ride at the Horse Park during Championships and Festival this year!

General News

Please send news and results for this section to me during show season!

Dates are out for National Pony Club Championships and FESTIVAL at the Kentucky Horse Park in 2017.

This is a don’t miss opportunity to participate in competitions, lessons, clinics, HM tuition, etc. etc. all in one place. This only occurs once every three years – and it’s a GREAT experience!! Pencil it in – even if you don’t intend to ride, it’s a GREAT chance to participate in unmounted instruction from some of the top clinicians in the country. We hope to have a HUGE group down in Kentucky for a great time. Block your calendars for the Regional Qualifiers June 14 – 18th at FVSA and for JULY 17TH – 24th for Champs / Festival
